The Sunday Reset: 7 Small Ways to Make Your Home Feel Better for the Week Ahead

A Sunday reset doesn't need to mean spending your entire day cleaning.

The goal is simply to do a few things that make Monday morning feel easier.

1. Reset the Main Living Space

Start with the room you use most.

Put away anything that accumulated during the weekend, clear the coffee table, straighten the pillows, and fold or casually arrange your throw blankets.

Ten focused minutes can completely change how the room feels.

2. Make the Bed

Fresh sheets are wonderful, but even simply making your bed creates an immediate sense of order.

Fluff your pillows, smooth the duvet, and place your favorite blanket back across the foot of the bed.

3. Clear One Surface

Don't try to organize your entire house.

Choose one surface that tends to collect clutter (i.e. the kitchen island, dining table, nightstand, or entryway console), and completely clear it.

4. Prepare for Monday Morning

Put out anything you'll need the next day.

Set up your coffee. Charge your devices. Put your keys where they belong. Choose your clothes.

Your future Monday-morning self will appreciate it.

5. Bring Something Fresh Into the Room

This could be flowers, eucalyptus, fresh fruit in a bowl, or simply opening the windows for a little while.

Small sensory changes make familiar rooms feel refreshed.

6. Create a Comfortable Evening

Once the practical things are finished, deliberately slow down.

Dim the lights. Put your phone away for a while. Grab the SOL&CO blanket from the sofa and watch something, read, or simply relax.

A reset should include rest too.

7. Go to Bed With the House Ready

You don't need a spotless home.

You just want to wake up without immediately seeing yesterday's unfinished tasks.

That's the beauty of a Sunday reset.

It isn't about creating a perfect house.

It's about creating a home that helps you start the week feeling just a little more put together.
